Item Attribute Values

Menu: Inventory Tracking → Items → Item Attribute Values. Pick an item; the screen has two parts.

Descriptive values

Fill information such as Generic name, Brand or Halal certified, then Save. If the section says "No descriptive attributes are defined yet", create Descriptive attributes first.

Tracking

The Tracking section: profile, status, branch filter and batch table

Switch tracking on

1. Choose a profile in Tracking profile and click Save.
2. Confirm Switch on batch tracking? Current stock in every branch goes into the Unassigned batch.
3. From now on, receipts of this item need batch details in Batch Allocation, and Unassigned stock is used first when stock goes out.

Switch tracking off: clear the profile, Save and confirm. New movements are no longer tracked by batch; batch balances are kept as history.

Batch table: filter by Branch; only posted stock is shown. Click a row to open Batch transactions for that batch (see Reports).

Bulk Tracking Profile

Menu: Inventory Tracking → Items → Bulk Tracking Profile. Gives many items the same profile at once, with the same rules as above.

1. Choose items: search by code or name; use Show → All items, Not tracked, Tracked (any profile) or With profile….
2. Tick items, or the header box for all loaded rows, or Select all … matching (up to 2,000). Ticks are kept when you change the filter.
3. Set tracking profile: choose the New tracking profile (or No tracking (switch off)) and click Set profile on N item(s).
4. Read the confirmation: how many items switch tracking on (and how much stock goes to Unassigned), how many switch it off (needs an extra tick), and how many already have the profile (skipped).
5. Confirm. A progress bar runs; a summary follows. Items that failed stay ticked, with the reason.
