Production Reports
Cost sheet, material usage and wastage, yield, labour, machine utilisation, expense distribution, unit cost trend and job order status.
Menu: Production → Production Reports
One screen, eight reports. All of them read posted production entries only, except Job order status, which can count unposted entries too.
Using the screen
- Report: pick a report from the tabs (the arrows scroll through them).
- Filters: From date, To date, Branch (empty = all), Item, Machine, Job order. A filter a report doesn't use is greyed out (Not used by this report).
- Click Show. Dates and lookups apply when you click it.
- Where a report has them, the grouping buttons (By material / By month / By machine…) change how rows are added up.
- Export CSV saves the rows shown, with the column headers in your language.
A chip shows the number of rows. At most 5,000 rows are shown; beyond that a note says Only the first 5000 rows are shown; narrow the filters for the rest.
Per posted entry: book cost, the distributed shares and full cost. Click a row to see every line.

Production cost sheet
One row per posted entry: Output, Materials, Labour, Machines, Expenses, Book cost and Book unit cost, then Distributed to stock, Report-only share, Full cost and Full unit cost, with totals. Filter by branch, item, machine or job order.
How to read it: book unit cost is what the item is valued at in stock from this run. Full unit cost adds every distributed share, including those kept out of stock — use it for pricing. In the example, KIT-1 is 16.93 on the books and 21.43 in full.
Click a row to see the entry in detail: the job order, machine, duration and planned output, then every line under Materials (Material, BOM qty, Actual qty, Difference, Unit price, Amount), Labour, Machines, Expenses and Distributed expenses (Distribution no, Expense type, Treatment, Period, Share).
Material usage and wastage
BOM qty (BOM quantity per unit × output) against Actual qty, with Difference, Difference %, Actual value and Difference value. Over-use shows in red. The item filter matches either the finished item or the material.
Example: PART-A BOM qty 2,000, actual 2,060 → difference 60, 3.00 %, worth 300.00 at 5.00. Group By machine to see whether one machine wastes more than the others.
Yield
Planned output against Actual output; Yield % = actual ÷ planned. The planned output of an entry made on a job order is the quantity ordered of that item; entries without a planned quantity are left out.
Example: planned 100, actual 95 → difference −5, yield 95.00 %.
Labour hours and cost
The labour lines of posted entries, by person or by type (Employee / Temporary staff / Outside): Entries, Lines, Hours, and — for users who may see labour cost — Average rate / hr and Amount. Other users see the hours only, with the chip Labour cost hidden: you have no right to see it.
Machine utilisation
Per machine: Planned hours / month, Planned hours for the dates (planned hours per month × the months the dates cover), Hours used on posted entries, Idle hours, Utilisation %, Entries and Machine cost. A chip shows how many months the planned hours cover.
Example: FILLER, 176 planned hours a month. 1–31 January → 176 planned hours. 1 January–15 February → about 270.29 (Planned hours cover 1.54 months). If it ran 132 hours in January: idle 44, utilisation 75.00 %.
Expense distribution
Applied distributions whose period overlaps the dates: Added to stock cost, split into of which to stock and of which to cost of sales, then Report only and Total, with the number of distributions. Group by expense type, period or item.
Example (October): RENT added to stock cost 1,000.00, of which to stock 900.00 and to cost of sales 100.00; BRAND report only 800.00; total 1,800.00.
Cost per unit trend
A grid of items × months. Each cell shows the Book and Full unit cost (weighted by output) and the change of the full unit cost against the item's previous month: red when it went up, green when it went down. The CSV holds one row per item and month.
| Item | 2026-09 | 2026-10 |
|---|---|---|
| KIT-1 · Repair kit | Book 16.20 Full 19.80 | Book 16.93 Full 21.43 +8.23 % |
| KIT-2 · Service kit | Book 5.40 Full 10.10 | Book 5.00 Full 9.50 -5.94 % |
Cost per unit trend: KIT-1 got dearer in October, KIT-2 cheaper
Job order status
The job orders dated in the period that aren't cancelled, one row per item: Job no, Sales order, Customer, Due date, Item, Ordered, Produced, Remaining, Produced %, Item status and Job status. The All / Posted / Not posted buttons choose which production entries count as produced, as on the Job Orders screen.
